Centre for Wildlife Gardening and Camley Street honoured
London Wildlife Trust's Centre for Wildlife Gardening and Camley Street Natural Park yesterday won awards under the Green Flag Scheme.
The Green Flag Award scheme, which has been running since 1997, is the national standard for parks and green spaces managed by the Civic Trust, and the Green Pennant Award is an additional scheme under this umbrella. All sites must be judged to be welcoming, safe and well maintained with substantial involvement from the local community.
Camley Street was awarded a Green Flag while the Centre won a Green Pennant for the second year running.
Congratulations go to the hard-working volunteers and staff on both sites.
