A 2009 a study by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) revealed that 27% of CEOs globally are concerned about the impact of biodiversity loss on their business growth prospects.

Wildlife and green space across the UK are under pressure from climate change and urban development, but face particular challenges in London. With an official population of 7.8 million, a growing demand for open space to develop and the prospect of drought looming, the need to protect the capital's important species and habitats is intense.

Why we work with businesses

No sector operating alone can tackle these issues.

We believe that by working in partnership with stakeholders in the private sector, we can develop simple and effective solutions to conserve London's natural environment for people and for wildlife. We will build strong partnerships with businesses that have demonstrated a true commitment to sustainable development whether in the UK or abroad.

Your support will enable us to:

ensure a future for endangered UK species such as the stag beetle and water vole
protect scarce habitats such as wetland and chalk grassland from degradation and development
directly impact the wellbeing of Londoners through our community engagement projects
raise awareness amongst people of the importance of biodiversity to mitigate the impacts of climate change
foster a culture of volunteering and active living in London

Opportunities to support us

Working together can yield mutual benefits, including exchange of expertise, access to new opportunities and a greater understanding of our respective roles in improving London's natural spaces. London Wildlife Trust offers a variety of opportunities for involvement at strategic and practical levels. These include:

Corporate membership: the best way to demonstrate your commitment to enhancing biodiversity in London is to sign up to one of our three tiers of corporate membership. Each package comes with a range of benefits for your company and employees
Employee volunteering and team-building: come out and experience our conservation work first-hand by taking part in a practical workday on one of our beautiful London nature reserves
Sponsorship: whether by sponsoring a key event, wildlife photography exhibition or crucial resources for a nature reserve, associating your brand with the leading conservation charity in London is a highly effective way to lend your support
Recycle IT for Wildlife: participate in our exciting new recycling scheme with Absolute Networks. Recycle your IT for FREE and the proceeds of any restored equipment that can be resold will be donated to London Wildlife Trust
Support a project: donating to one of our conservation or community outreach projects is a great way to give back and witness your impact directly
Employee fundraising: hold a raffle, run a race, take part in a challenge event outdoors... there are numerous ways you and your colleagues can actively fundraise for London Wildlife Trust and have fun at the same time!
