Help us to better understand the wildlife we live with in London by getting involved in surveying with our ecology experts.

Join us as we 'BioBlitz' Woodberry Wetlands and record as many different wildlife species as we can throughout the day.

If you want to take part we will equip you with everything you need and provide expert advice before you set off to survey the nature reserve. The records you log will help us to better understand the wildlife that lived in London.

The BioBlitz 'hub' will be on the grassland near the sluice house (close to the Newnton Close entrance). This is where all the sessions will start from, records will be logged using laptops, and interesting finds will be shown.

Suitable for all ages. Please contact Nathaniel Legall if you wish to take part: email nlegall@wildlondon.org.uk or call 07539 173 350.

Please dress appropriately for searching through wild parts of the reserve!

Our Dragonfly Detectives will also be running a family-friendly drop-in day nearby - come along and get tips on how to identify these marvellous insects, and learn how to take close-up photographs of insects with wildlife photographer Penny Dixie. There’s fun for the family as well – we will be making willow dragonflies and pipe cleaner dragonflies, and we will have dragonfly themed story-telling for little ones.

Our fabulous Coal House Café will be open as usual, offering delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch, serving quality roasted coffee and homemade seasonal food. The Coal House Café is open daily 9.00am – 4.00pm, last kitchen orders 3.30pm.
