A training session for people interested in becoming a visitor engagement volunteer at Walthamstow Wetlands.

London Wildlife Trust is recruiting a team of enthusiastic and welcoming visitor engagement volunteers to support our work at Walthamstow Wetlands.

Are you interested in telling our visitors about the area's history, industrial and cultural heritage, as well as wildlife? Are you knowledgeable and keen to communicate to new visitors what they might see on the nature reserve?

As a volunteer you could be based in the Engine House or out on the reserve and tasks will include greeting visitors, providing information and advice, and  litter picking.

This induction session will train you as a visitor engagement volunteer for Walthamstow Wetlands. London Wildlife Trust is the habitat and wildlife delivery partner at the nature reserve, responsible for working with volunteers to conserve and enhance wildlife habitats through practical conservation, education and community engagement.

As there is a tour included in the day, please wear suitable clothing. Bring your own packed lunch and water; tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. Meet at the Angling Academy, the single-storey building next to the Forest Road entrance.
