School Visits to Nature Reserves

Come and visit one of our seven staffed nature reserves across London. Our experienced education staff can provide your class with a hands-on outdoor learning experience directly linked with the National Curriculum. To make a school booking please contact the reserve you want to visit directly. All school bookings must be made in advance by telephone, and do book early to avoid disappointment.

Please inform us of any session cancellation 24 hours in advance of the date of the session. If you do not cancel the session in advance you will be charged an admin fee of £30 for the non-cancellation of the booking.

This educational facility offers Key Stage 1 and 2 outdoor education sessions to primary schools on the Greenway with the brand new View Tube as our base and the magnificent Olympic Park as our backdrop. A number of options are available to teachers and education groups:

- Taught courses. 2 hour sessions led by London wildlife Trust or FSC education staff supporting the following curriculum subjects:

Geography
History
Science
Arts and Crafts
Citizenship

- Self taught courses. 1 hour sessions which are self led by visiting teachers, but supported by View Tube resources and handouts.

- Hire for education groups. The classroom will also be available for hire during twilight and weekend sessions.

The classroom has space for 30 students and accompanying staff. Situated on the first floor of a specially constructed centre looking directly into the Olympic park, it has a panoramic view of the stadium and the aquatic centre.
