A series of workdays to enhance a backwater on the River Brent, Hanwell, Ealing

Join London Wildlife Trust on a series of workdays installing habitat features on the River Brent in Hanwell, Ealing.

The Water for Wildlife team, Ealing rangers and volunteers will  work together to create a new backwater, which will help make the river more resilient to pollution events, provide homes for a variety of wildlife and help to make the river greener and more attractive.

These improvements will take place over a series of workdays, outlined below. You are welcome to join a number of the workdays, or just one. To book your place, please email awickman@wildlondon.org.uk with the date/dates you wish to attend.

All tools and equipment will be provided, including boots/waders and protective gloves. Please bring a packed lunch if you are staying all day and wear warm outdoor clothes. The work will involve some manual handling and wading through the river on uneven surfaces, so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
