Salary: £11.35 - £15.65 per hour

Closing date: Wednesday 24th July 2019

Location: Centre for Wildlife Gardening, Woodberry Wetlands, Walthamstow Wetlands, and other LWT Reserves as required

London Wildlife Trust is looking for sessional workers to support the preparation and delivery of curriculum linked outdoor learning sessions targeted at school children, family learning and forest schools. Sessions will be held at Woodberry Wetlands and Walthamstow Wetlands, but you may be offered work across London Wildlife Trust sites.

The successful candidates will have experience of planning, organising and delivering curriculum linked environmental learning sessions for young children in an outdoor setting, as well as developing learning sessions for teachers, schools, community groups and families. You will have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum, but also have experience of delivering non-curriculum learning for community groups, families and care givers. A good understanding of safeguarding issues is essential for this role.

London Wildlife Trust manages more than 35 nature reserves across the capital that are exemplars of urban conservation land management and which greatly benefit the local communities that use these sites. The Trust delivers projects focusing on protecting priority habitats and wildlife species in London and works to influence policy makers to support this work.

The Trust engages London’s diverse communities through access to our nature reserves, volunteering programmes and education and outreach work. To understand more about our plans ahead, read our strategic plan: For a Wilder City 2015 – 2020 here.
