Services for Schools
Green Schools teaching resource pack and training
This excellent resource is our primary curriculum-based pack using outdoor space. The pack comes with a training and inset session for staff explaining how to use it effectively.
The pack contains: 'The National Curriculum Outdoors KS1 and 2' and 'Gardening in the School Grounds', plus health and safety notes and other useful information.
Green Schools wildlife sessions at your school
London Wildlife Trust has a team of dedicated education officers who can deliver curriculum-linked education sessions at your school, and in your school grounds, once a week at a time that suits you. Sessions can be booked in blocks of 10 or 30, with 15 children per session. This service also includes a copy of our Green Schools pack for your school.
Green Schools consultation
We can visit your school to give you advice and help you plan the development of your school’s outdoor activities and/or advise on improving your school grounds. We can also offer advice on how to take care of your grounds in the future. We can provide written recommendations as required.
School grounds enhancement
Are your school grounds in need of a facelift? Do you want to attract birds, butterflies and insects to your school's outdoor space? London Wildlife Trust can help develop your school grounds, for example we could install a woodland trail, bird boxes, a wildflower meadow, make your pond child-friendly, add wildlife-attracting plants to your grounds or even build you a new school nature garden.
Green Schools events
We can engage pupils, parents and teachers in events to green your school grounds using a whole-school approach. We can lead events or one-off activities, for example to add new wildlife features or to add planting and biodiversity to your school grounds.
