Conservation Volunteers Barking Riverside
We need volunteers to help manage and create new wildlife habitats at Barking Riverside and the Ripple Nature Reserve. You will learn practical habitat management skills, wildlife surveying and get fit at the same time. Barking Riverside is home for the protected water vole, many rare invertebrates and a host of foraging wading birds. This area is also under redevelopment by Barking Riverside Ltd to provide 10,000 new homes and community and wildlife spaces. This role provides excellent work experience for anyone wanting a career in the conservation sector or anyone who wants to learn more about wildlife.
Special Requirements: All training and tools are provided but you will need to be happy to work outdoors and wear appropriate clothing including stout footwear.

When: Every Wednesday and the 3rd Saturday of the month, 10.30am to 2pm

Volunteer Education Assistant East Reservoir Community Garden
We need volunteers to help run environmental education sessions for primary aged children at
East Reservoir
Community Garden. You will learn how to deliver a successful environmental education programme and have the opportunity to shadow experienced teaching staff until you become confident to lead lessons (or parts of lessons) on your own. This role provides excellent work experience for anyone wanting a career in the environmental education sector.

Community Outreach Volunteers

Community Garden, Stoke Newington, Hackney We are looking for volunteers to support the Wild London Inclusive London project, working to engage community groups with their local greenspaces and helping them to improve them. The role will include helping to organise and run activities like bird box making, food growing and tree planting, and taking groups on visits to sites of wildlife interest. Volunteers will gain experience in a wide range of conservation and community activities.
Special Requirements: Full training is provided. However, enthusiasm, common sense and the ability to team work with people from diverse backgrounds is essential

Practical Wildlife Gardening Volunteers
