London Conservation Services
London Conservation Services (LCS) is the wholly-owned trading subsidiary of London Wildlife Trust.
LCS operates as a professional ecological consultancy/landscape design and build contractor, delivering a variety of contracts for clients, such as local authorities, public utilities, social landlords, etc, in the Greater London area.
The company benefits from London Wildlife Trust’s 30 year expertise of managing, creating and sustaining wildlife-friendly habitat, on its 40+ reserves. All funds generated by LCS’s trading activities are covenanted back to the Wildlife Trust to further its charitable conservation work.
The services provided by LCS include:
• Initial ecological site appraisal/risk assessment (prospective development advice)
• Baseline ecological assessment reports
• Ecological impact assessments
• Species specific surveys (ie bats, newts, birds, water voles, etc)
• Watching brief work
• Translocation work
• Conservation Management Plans
• Code for sustainable homes/BREAAM (including wildlife partnership)
• Wildlife garden/landscape design and build services
• Wide range of wildlife education sessions (suitable for schools, professional development, etc)
Surveys and reports can be tailored to the specific requirements of the client (ie for planning purposes, for public consultation, etc).
