Swift Awareness Week Guided Tour
Walthamstow Wetlands,
Walthamstow Wetlands, 2 Forest Road , Walthamstow, London, N17 9NHAbout the event
In celebration of Swift Awareness Week (20th June to 6th July), join our friendly guides for a tour around the reserve where we'll explore the different habitats that make up Walthamstow Wetlands, learn about the life of the charismatic swifts and the threats they face as well as looking at other common bird species in the reserve.
This is a gentle walk around the reserve on paths - there may be some gentle inclines, strong stout footwear recommended. The walk will last approximately 1.5 hours and will be fully outdoors - so dress for the weather! Please bring some water and if you have binoculars do bring them, but it’s not essential.
This walk is for over 18s and young people over 12 (accompanied by an adult). Further information will be sent out prior to the event.
Donations to London Wildlife Trust are welcome. All profits are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s conservation and education work and the care of its nature reserves.
