About the event

Did you know that two thirds of UK's animal and plant species have faced a rapid decline in the past 50 years? With over 24 million gardens in the UK, collectively our green spaces can make a difference for wildlife.

Join this session to learn about some of the most common wildlife - friendly plants we can grow, the animals we're likely to attract and discuss other ways in which we can invite wildife to our green spaces. Whether you have a garden, balcony, window ledge, allotment or care for a community green space, there are many ways in which you can attract and help wildlife in your area.

The event will include:

💻Indoor London Wildlife Trust presentation with information about why gardens are vital and often underestimated for wildlife

🍃A walk around our Outdoor Classroom Area and Sensory Garden to look at wildlife gardening ideas

🌼Wildflower seed ball to create, take home and plant in your green space

This event is aimed at adults aged 18+, but can be inclusive for young people aged 11 and above, who must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

All proceeds from this event are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s wider nature recovery work across London.

*Please note this is not a foraging walk and we will not be harvesting plants to eat, due to safety reasons and to allow wildlife to have plenty of food throughout the seasons.*
