About the event

Join our friendly and knowledgeable volunteers to discover the magical world of birds, which ones have been seen recently around the reserve and what are the key bird species which make Walthamstow Wetlands a reserve of national and international importance.

Meet at the East Warwick bird hide, small wooden building down the main concrete path (what3words ///sketch.cheeks.trout).

These sessions are led by a team of friendly London Wildlife Trust volunteers.

Sessions are aimed at people of all ages. All children must be accompanied throughout the session by a responsible adult.

No need to book, just drop in on the day. No equipment needed but bring binoculars if you have them, we have a few binoculars and a scope for you to try. Dress suitably for the weather.

This is a free event, but donations are welcome. All profits are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s conservation and education work and the care of its nature reserves.

*Please be advised that sessions are subject to volunteers' availability and weather-dependent, but the hide is open every day 9.30am - 4.30pm (summer)/3.30pm (winter)*
