About the event

A quiet morning session exploring the reserve and the wildlife found here, for families with a member with any additional needs and/or a disability. Activities will include using nets to look at animals found in the pond, looking under logs to see what minibeasts we can find plus additional sensory activities.

This session will be led by Moa (she/her) from our Learning & Engagement Team.

Sessions run every 4 weeks, one Sunday per month, please book a place via Eventbrite. One ticket per family of up to 3 children.

Sessions are aimed at children of all ages and parents/carers together. There will be one member of staff present at the session. All children must be accompanied throughout the session by a responsible adult.

This is a free event, but donations are welcome. All profits are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s conservation and education work and the care of its nature reserves.

Assistance dogs only

Guide dogs only.  Please be advised that trained assistance dogs on duty are welcome, but in order to protect the sensitive habitat and drinking water supply, we cannot allow other dogs or pets of any kind on-site, as the wildlife may become distressed.

Mobility

The main path down to the pond dipping area has accessible surfaces, whilst other footpaths around the site are surfaced in gravel, woodchip and brick. There are no hills or steps.

There is an accessible toilet. There is a quiet indoor Education room that can be used for breaks that is fully accessible.

The reserve has one entrance/exit onto a quiet road.
