Butterfly identification and monitoring online workshop
About the event
Join Steve from the Brilliant Butterflies team and learn how to identify common butterfly species found in London’s greenspaces, how to monitor them and the various recording techniques available. It is hoped that participants will go on to send in records of butterflies using apps and websites. These records can inform our conservation work.
The workshop will run between 10.30am and 12.30pm, with a comfort break between presentations. It will be delivered via the online platform Zoom, please use the weblink below to join.
The Brilliant Butterflies project is creating new wildlife havens in the southern fringes of Croydon and Bromley, providing refuges for pollinators and beautiful, tranquil pockets of chalk meadows. Brilliant Butterflies is a partnership between London Wildlife Trust, the Natural History Museum and Butterfly Conservation.
It is funded by a Dream Fund Award, thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The project runs from 2019 to 2021.
