Moth trapping at Hutchinson’s Bank
, CR0 9AD
About the event
Join Phil and Steve from Butterfly Conservation on Hutchinson’s Bank nature reserve for a moth trapping and identification session. Light traps are used to attract moths overnight which can be identified and safely released at this morning event. Come and meet some fantastic moths like the privet hawk-moth shown in the picture above.
The meeting point is at the end of Farleigh Dean Crescent, Croydon.
The Brilliant Butterflies project is creating new wildlife havens in the southern fringes of Croydon and Bromley, providing refuges for pollinators and beautiful, tranquil pockets of chalk meadows. Brilliant Butterflies is a partnership between London Wildlife Trust, the Natural History Museum and Butterfly Conservation.
It is funded by a Dream Fund Award, thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The project runs from 2019 to 2021.
