About the event

Join us for a workshop learning all about one of our most recognisable and charismatic animals.

Covered in spines and known to curl into a ball when threatened, hedgehogs can be spotted in parks and gardens across London. However, their population is currently experiencing a serious decline, particularly in urban areas, due to loss of greenery in gardens, impermeable fencing and increasing development.

In this workshop we'll delve into the lifecycle and ecology of hedgehogs and discuss ways we can help them at home. We'll also make hedgehog footprint tunnels, which you can take home or leave at the reserve to help us monitor their presence.

This event is aimed at adults aged 18+, but can be inclusive for young people aged 11 and above, who must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Further instructions will be sent prior to the event.

All proceeds from this event are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s wider nature recovery work across London.
