Wild Wellbeing in the Woods - Free Local Resident Walks
Sydenham Hill Wood and Cox's Walk,
Crescent Wood Road, Sydenham Hill, SE26 6LSEvent details
About the event
As part of the 'Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood and Dulwich Wood' project, we are offering free guided woodland walks for the local community. This warm invitation is for residents of Lordship Lane, Sydenham Hill, Countisbury House, Kingswood Estate, Peckarmans Wood, Crouchmans Close and Crescent Wood Road.
Explore this woodland haven for wildlife & let your feet - and your mind - wander. Guided mindfulness activities will invite you to slow down, ground yourself & be fully present, tuning into the rhythm of the trees & the wonders of the wildlife around us. Research shows that spending time in nature can boost our mental health, reducing stress & improving mood. By noticing the small details, pausing to breathe & connecting with the natural world, we give ourselves space for calm, clarity & renewal. This gentle wander is designed as a soothing wind-down, leaving you refreshed & rooted in the magic of the woods.

The delivery of the 'Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood and Dulwich Wood' project is made possible by our funders and partners: The National Lottery Heritage Fund, The Dulwich Estate, Southwark Council, The Kusuma Trust, Black Girls Hike, and Wanderers of Colour. This funding and these partnerships help to secure the future of the woods by bringing together the management of Sydenham Hill Wood and Dulwich Wood under London Wildlife Trust.
