About the event

Join us to learn about nature through an interactive outdoor storytelling session for young children. Stories will be followed by a nature themed craft activity or habitat exploration.

Meet at the Centre for Wildlife Gardening visitor centre/classroom.

The session will be led by a member of our Learning & Engagement team. No need to book, just join us at the start of the session so as not to miss any of the stories.

This event will run for 4 weeks of the Summer holidays on the following dates:

Thursday 6th August

Thursday 13th August

Thursday 20th August

Thursday 27th August

Sessions are aimed at children under 6 years, but all welcome. All children must be accompanied throughout the session by a responsible adult.

Mobility

All of the Centre for Wildlife Gardening is accessible for wheelchair users except for the Woodland Path, which is too narrow for most wheelchairs.

The area around the new visitor centre and main path down to the pond dipping platform has accessible surfaces, whilst other footpaths around the site are surfaced in woodchip. Some of the surfaces are uneven or covered in some vegetation.

There is a quiet indoor classroom area that can be used for breaks.
