London Wildlife Trust partners with Belgravia in Bloom

The London Wildlife Trust has partnered up with Belgravia in Bloom to celebrate this year’s Into the Wild themed festival.

Taking place from 22nd to 29th May, the annual free flower festival will see Belgravia come alive with beautiful species – from pandas to peacocks, monkeys to snakes – recreated as vibrant floral installations.

To support the London’s Wildlife Trust’s mission to boost biodiversity and inspire Londoners to connect with nature, Belgravia in Bloom will encourage visitors to learn more about creatures great and small through a series of pop-ups, events, and experiences.

Visitors can stop by the London Wildlife Trust’s hedgehog van in Eccleston Yards to make their own seed bombs to support biodiversity in their own gardens on the 27th and 28th May.

They will also be able to show their support by donating via QR codes dotted throughout the neighbourhood.

London Wildlife Trust is also ensuring that the floral installations are created using even more biodiversity-boosting plants and flowers this year.

Matthew Frith, Director of Research and Policy at the London Wildlife Trust, and guest judge on this year’s installation competition panel, says: “At London Wildlife Trust, we’re committed to inspiring people to engage with and stand up for nature, which is why we’re thrilled to further our long-term partnership with Grosvenor by collaborating on this year’s Belgravia in Bloom.”

He adds: “From the flowers used to create the magnificent floral installations, to the eclectic diversity of animals they represent, this year’s wilderness theme encourages visitors to celebrate the wonder of nature and the work to protect the places where it lives.”
