Come and get a feel for what volunteering with the London Wildlife Trust is all about with a community litter pick in Hillingdon!

Join us as we walk a section of the beautiful Hillingdon Trail, starting at Ickenham Marsh we will pass through Gutteridge Woods and Meadows before finishing at Ten Acre Wood.

As we go we'll be removing any litter we find, ensuring these spaces remain the sanctuaries for urban wildlife that the Trust is dedicated to protecting. 

Everyone is welcome whether you are an experienced volunteer or this is your first time getting involved, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere and a feeling of fulfilment from caring for your local green spaces. 

We’ll meet at the Glebe Avenue entrance to Ickenham Marsh (https://what3words.com/exchanges.noon.shops) at 11:00am. 

New volunteers are welcome to turn up slightly beforehand to meet our friendly session leaders Sophie and Joe who will happy to answer any questions you may have about the work we’ll be doing on the day or about getting involved in our wider work in the area.

The session will start at 11:00am and finish at 2:30pm, with time for us all to stop and have a break in-between.

Joe has promised to bring his tea supplies (which include biscuits) and all equipment is provided, so all you need to have with you is some water and lunch. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, we’ll be walking through nature reserves which can get a bit muddy around this time of year!
