Who is it for? All ages are welcome. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Do I need to book? Yes, for walks and workshops we ask that you book in advance on Eventbrite so we can manage group numbers & contact you if the walk needs to be rescheduled due to weather. Our full programme and Eventbrite links will be live and posted on this site by 10 August 2026.
Is the event free? Yes! Many thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, with support from The Dulwich Estate, Southwark Council.
How accessible is this event? The Woodland Festival will take place at Sydenham Hill Wood + Dulwich Wood with benches & stopping points throughout the woods. Footpaths can be uneven & there are steps & slopes at points due to the Woods' inclines. We are working on creating more wheelchair & buggy routes over the project period. If you have any concerns, please contact Olivia Young, our Event Coordinator, at oyoung@wildlondon.org.uk.
Is there a toilet onsite? Yes, we have an accessible composting toilet that will be opened for attendees to use. The nearest Changes Places Toilet is located in Dulwich Park.
What happens if the weather is challenging? If there’s heavy rain, high winds or other unsafe conditions, we may postpone walks and workshops for everyone’s safety. We’ll contact you by email as soon as possible if that happens.
We hope to see you there!
