National Lottery #ThanksToYou behind-the-scenes walk at Woodberry Wetlands
Event details
Fri, 07/12/2018 - 11:00am - 1:00pm
We are opening our doors for an exclusive walk to thank National Lottery players for their support of good causes across the UK, including Woodberry Wetlands.
National Lottery players can enjoy a special two hour walk around the reserve, taking a closer look at some of the areas that are normally off-limits to the public, including access to the garden and roundhouse spaces, access along the North Bank, which is always closed to the public, and a chance to head into the reedbed where we are undertaking our annual cut, allowing you to get a closer look at the conservation work we undertake at this time of year.
As we explore the nature reserve, you can learn about the importance of Woodberry Wetlands for urban wildlife, especially waterfowl.
You will have a chance to see the different habitats we have here, learn about the many wildlife species that make a home here, and see how our volunteers care for and manage the site.
