About the event

Find the answers to these questions and more on a guided walk around Camley Street Natural Park led by our experienced, friendly staff.

Camley Street is an urban oasis that was saved from development and now acts as a haven for both people and wildlife. Discover its fascinating history and experience some of the wildlife that calls the site home.

This is a gentle walk around the reserve on paths and there may be some gentle inclines. Strong stout footwear is recommended.

The walk will last approximately 45 minutes and will be fully outdoors, so dress for the weather! Please bring some water and binoculars if you have them.

Meeting point: Kingfisher Café (under the marquee).

We'll be running a special Rivers Week version of this walk on Saturday 23rd May. You can book your place via this page.

Mobility

The area around the new visitor centre and main path down to the pond dipping platform has accessible surfaces, whilst other footpaths around the site are surfaced in woodchip. Part of the walkway around the reserve has steps and hills.

The outdoor-seating café is fully accessible, including an accessible toilet. There is a quiet indoor Education room that can be used for breaks.

The reserve has one entrance/exit onto a busy main road. There is a walkway around the canal pond, partly without any railing.
