About the event

Santa needs your help. This Christmas, join Norm and Nesbit, The Navigators, on Operation Redwing: a wild family adventure at Walthamstow Wetlands.

Enter the top-secret hide and meet nature's superheroes. Then help design Santa's ultimate Super Sleigh.

Then meet Santa himself, hear his story about the clever squirrel who once saved Christmas Eve, and take home a gift to remember the day.

Set in the heart of a nature reserve, a haven for people and wildlife, this is a Christmas experience you won't find anywhere else.

Every ticket helps London's wildlife. By booking your family's place on Operation Redwing, you directly support our work caring for London's wild spaces like Walthamstow Wetlands.

What to expect

  • Enjoy a 45-minute show created especially for Walthamstow Wetlands, brought to life by professional actors and packed with Christmas magic, wildlife discoveries and plenty of family fun.
  • Meet Santa himself and hear him tell his special Christmas tale.
  • Every child takes home a gift to remember the day.

Please note, children under 12 months go free but are not eligible for a gift.

Why here?

  • Set in the heart of a huge nature reserve just 15 minutes from central London, home to wildlife like herons, kingfishers and hedgehogs.
  • Step into the reserve and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, and make memories that you'll still be thinking about next December.
  • Every ticket helps fund our work caring for wild spaces like this one, so the magic lasts long after Christmas.
