London Wildlife Trust and Mace Group – another prosperous partnership

The Corporate Engagement Awards 2017 recognises the best in collaborative corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and partnership programmes. London Wildlife Trust has been shortlisted in the Most Innovative Sponsorship category, thanks to a successful partnership restoration project with Mace Group.

As part of their sustainability strategy Mace’s Heathrow team chose to adopt Crane Meadows, an important London Wildlife Trust nature reserve that was in need of investment. The project aimed to restore one of London’s last remaining floodplain meadows, encouraging wildlife to flourish whilst providing an accessible green space for the local community, in an otherwise heavily industrialised urban landscape.

In addition to Mace employees volunteering as a workforce to assist with conservation activities at Crane Meadows, the organisation also sponsored a Senior Reserves Officer, provided financial assistance for the purchase of tools and materials, and allowed access to their contactors in order to safely deliver major restoration works on site.

The Awards, now in their seventh year, will be presented to the winners at a ceremony on the 20th June 2017.

More information

London Wildlife Trust manages over 40 nature reserves across the capital, bringing nature into the lives of Londoners and providing important homes for the city’s wildlife. We want to work in partnership with organisations that can help raise awareness of London’s fabulous wildlife among the widest audiences, provide resources to protect scarce habitats, and finance essential works on our reserves that otherwise wouldn’t be undertaken.
