Together, these new tools set out how London can restore nature, strengthen our ecological network and ensure green infrastructure delivers for both wildlife and people across the capital. The London Local Nature Recovery Strategy maps where action is most needed to recover habitats and connect wildlife sites, while the London Green Infrastructure Framework brings together city-wide data to help plan and prioritise investment in green and blue spaces.
At London Wildlife Trust, we’re excited to see the growing recognition that a healthier, wilder city benefits everyone. But now the priority must be delivery. With the right collaboration, investment and long-term commitment to bring these strategies to life on the ground we can put nature recovery at the heart of a thriving city.
This is our opportunity to make London’s ecological network bigger, better and more joined-up. Nature recovery in London will only succeed if we act together — and we’re ready to play our part.
