Who are Butterfly Conservation 🦋

Butterfly Conservation is a leading British charity dedicated to protecting butterflies, moths, and their habitats across the UK. It has grown to become one of the largest insect conservation organisations globally, with over 40,000 members and a strong volunteer network contributing significant conservation efforts. The charity manages more than 30 nature reserves, runs extensive butterfly and moth monitoring schemes, and has successfully helped reverse the decline of several threatened species.

Their Youth Panel launched in 2024 to engage young people aged 16-25 from across the UK in butterfly and moth conservation. It brings together 10 passionate young individuals from diverse backgrounds who help shape the future of conservation efforts by breaking down barriers and making nature engagement more accessible to youth.
