About the event

*IMPORTANT INFO – Please read carefully before submitting an entry ticket*

Due to high demand, we are trialling a new lotto-style system to book tickets online for this term of Nature Tots, to allow everyone an equal opportunity to attend. This system is a randomised draw, registrations do not count as a ticket to the programme but will be entered into the draw.

Entries will be open on Tuesday 26th May from 7am - 7pm. Please submit one entry per family. Any duplicate entries will be discounted. As you have 12 hours to submit an entry, there is no rush to complete the registration form, please take as much time as you need.

After entries close at 7pm, 12 attendees will be selected at random for both Monday and Friday sessions (24 attendees total).

You can submit an entry for either Monday, Friday or both - if randomly selected for both, the choice of either day will be given, you will not be able to attend both days.

All remaining entries will be added to the waiting list, which will close at 7pm on Tuesday 26th May. The waiting list order will also be randomised, capped at 10 families for each session, and issued as such if any places later become available.

You will be informed before 5pm on Wednesday 27th May if your entry has been drawn for a place in the Autumn term and will receive a link to purchase your ticket and register for the programme. If we don't receive a response from you within 1 week your ticket will be passed to the next person on the waiting list.

We will also let you know if you have been issued a place on the waiting list (capped at 10 families). If any attendees drop out ahead of or during the term, the place will be offered to those on the waiting list according to the random number assigned.

If you don't receive an email from us by 5pm on Wednesday 27th May, your entry was not drawn for either the session or the waiting list this time around.

The next term in Spring 2027 will be available on Tuesday 27th October if you'd like to try and join again then. Further details about tickets for this term will be added in the new school year.

About Nature Tots

Nature Tots is a Forest School programme for pre-school children age 18 months to 5 years. We engage and inspire young people and their carers to connect with nature through hands-on outdoor activities around wildlife.

During Nature Tots, children will explore their natural surroundings, discovering the animals and habitats around them. Activities include minibeast hunting, woodland games, music and nature crafts. Nature Tots helps children develop their confidence and emotional well-being, and skills in independent learning, problem solving, working with others and creativity.

Sessions take place on Monday or Friday mornings at Walthamstow Wetlands. There are toilets and baby changing facilities onsite.

Children (and adults) should be dressed appropriately for the weather. We go outside come rain or shine. We can shelter in the Forest School copse from heavy rain. If the weather is severe, we will hold the session indoors.

These sessions are led by our Forest School leader Steph (she/her).

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential, the sessions are bookable by term.

Costs:
First child - £120 per 12 weeks
Additional sibling over 18m - £78 per 12 weeks
Accompanying adult and sibling under 18 months free.

One parent/carer should be accompanied by a maximum of 3 children.

This is a rolling programme which runs on Monday or Friday, 10.00am – 12.00pm, during term time only.

Please see our Information Pack below for term dates.

For more information please see the Nature Tots Information Pack.
