About the event

Join Rianna (Engagement Officer for Dulwich Woods) for a guided walk to learn about the diverse range of trees found in Dulwich Woods, a remaining fragment of the ancient Great North Wood.

This will be a chance to identify trees like oak, ash and hazel and to understand more about the fascinating role they’ve played in London’s development. We'll look at different ways to identify trees, including by looking at a tree's leaves, bark, flowers, fruit and silhouette.

Meet for the walk at Sydenham Hill train station car park. Please dress appropriately for the weather and note, the wood has many uneven surfaces, so stout footwear is recommended. This walk is for adults and children aged 11+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This is a free event but donations are welcome, with all profits are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s conservation and education work and the care of its nature reserves.
